From the county’s park rules:
- Leash no longer than 6 feet, held by the owner at all times.
- Dogs licensed and tagged, with current vaccinations.
- Owners pick up and remove waste.
- Dogs may not enter buildings, playgrounds or play areas, athletic fields, dugouts, basketball courts, skate parks, shelters and pavilions, cabin areas, equestrian trails, piers, swim areas or beaches.
- Dogs are banned from Jumping Gully Preserve, Pasco Palms Preserve and Sunwest Park.
- Aggressive dogs are asked to leave; only service dogs go inside facilities.
Licenses
Chapter 14 of the Pasco County Code requires an annual license for dogs and cats 4 months of age or older, the county says. Most Pasco vets sell the license when they give the rabies vaccine. You can also buy it online, by mail to Animal Services, or in person by appointment. Bring a copy of the current rabies certificate signed by the vet, and proof of spay or neuter for the altered-pet rate. Tags are now renewable, so your dog keeps the same tag for life. - a partition separating small and large dogs;

- a dog drinking fountain (the county suggests bringing your own bowl);

The other is at Anclote Gulf Park on the coast.
