Wesley Chapel’s modern growth began with I-75, the local historic marker says. The main roads are State Road 54 (with County Road 54 and Wesley Chapel Boulevard), State Road 56 and Bruce B. Main roads and interstate exits

  • I-75 Exit 279: State Road 54 and County Road 54. The overhead signs point to Zephyrhills and Wesley Chapel. FDOT began widening the southbound exit ramp on Oct. 5, 2026, for dual left turns toward eastbound CR 54.
  • The State Road 56 interchange, south of Exit 279, leads to The Shops at Wiregrass at SR 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard; its ramps are signed for Tampa and St. Petersburg to the south and Ocala to the north.
  • I-75 Exit 274: I-275, where southbound drivers split off toward Tampa and the airport.
  • State Road 54 runs east-west through Wesley Chapel, west toward Land O’ Lakes and east toward Zephyrhills.
  • Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (County Road 581) runs south from State Road 54 toward Hillsborough County.

Bus: GoPasco Route 54

GoPasco Route 54 runs along State Road 54 between U.S. 19 in west Pasco and Zephyrhills. Its timetable lists stops including:

  • Tampa Premium Outlets (served intermittently, the timetable notes)
  • a park-and-ride, where the map shows a regional connection to HART Route 275LX into Hillsborough County
  • The Grove
  • AdventHealth on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
  • the Zephyrhills transfer station

The timetable marks Saturday service hours; see the Route 54 timetable. Buses carry bicycle racks. Track buses in real time with the myStop app or on the myStop website. Fares and passes are on GoPasco’s fares page, and riders who cannot use fixed-route buses can apply for demand response service.

No GoPasco service on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26, or Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25. Buses do run on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and the day after Thanksgiving.

The airport

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the nearest major airport. Southbound on I-75, signs at Exit 274 send drivers onto I-275 for Tampa and TPA. Check flights and parking on the airport’s website.

Biking and walking

Parking

Wesley Chapel has no city government, so there are no city parking rules. Parking at shopping centers such as The Shops at Wiregrass, The Grove and Avalon Park is set by each center.
