How Florida publishes legal notices
Two state laws set the rules:
- Newspapers and the statewide site. When a legal notice runs in a print newspaper, the newspaper must also place it on the statewide website, floridapublicnotices.com, under section 50.0211 of the Florida Statutes.
- Government websites. Under section 50.0311, a county or other local government may publish required notices on the county’s official website or a website the county designates. Pasco County says it uses its Column page for some notices and advertisements and posts others on its Public Notices page.
