How admission works
Charter schools are tuition-free public schools sponsored by Pasco County Schools and run by their own boards. They have no attendance zones: families apply to each school, and a charter school keeps its own calendar and hours. Pasco County Schools lists them in its charter school directory.
The school’s Apply Now page has separate applications for pre-K to fifth grade and for sixth grade. “If you are looking for grades 7th though 12th, we are NOT enrolling those grades at this time,” it says; families can join an interest list. The school’s site does not describe a lottery process.
Enrollment and report card
Mater Academy Northwood is too new to appear in the federal NCES directory or in Florida’s 2026 school grades file, so there is no enrollment count, teacher count or state grade to report yet.
Hours and calendar
The district’s charter school directory lists hours of 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The school’s website posts its own calendar; its upcoming events list Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and Thanksgiving holidays Nov. 26-27.
