How admission works
Charter schools are tuition-free public schools sponsored by Pasco County Schools and run by their own boards. They have no attendance zones: families apply to each school, and a charter school keeps its own calendar and hours. Pasco County Schools lists them in its charter school directory.
The school’s enrollment process page says:
- Enrollment for the following school year opens in November each year, through the “Student Applications” tab on the school’s website.
- The first window closes Jan. 31; each later window closes at the end of the following month.
- Families are told by email if a child is accepted.
- If more students apply for a grade than there are seats, the school uses a lottery, run by an outside accounting firm.
The page lists capacity of 1,400 for the K-8 school. Its most recent seat count, dated Nov. 21, 2025, showed no open seats in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Enrollment and teachers
- Federal count: 1,312 students in the 2024-25 school year, with 74 full-time-equivalent teachers, about 18 students per teacher, according to the NCES school directory.
- A year earlier: 1,259 students in 2023-24, in the same directory.
- High school: 82 students in 2024-25, according to the NCES directory. The high school’s website now gives a figure of 271 students enrolled.
